ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Kenny Thomas Elite Camp continues.

Tularosa 9th grader Sierra Montoya is one of the campers getting instruction this week. Montoya was born with only two fingers on her left hand and has never let it stop her from playing the game she loves.

“A lot of people have tried to discourage me.They are like oh she can’t play. She only has half of hand. She’s not going to be good. But, then that makes me want to play even harder.,” Montoya said.

Sierra was the top scorer at her middle school this past season averaging about 10 points per game.
