Woman accused of kidnapping kids allowed to leave jail

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The mother the feds say kidnapped her kids and took off for nearly two decades is being allowed out of jail.

Eileen Clark left Placitas with her three kids in 1995 after her husband told her he wanted a divorce.

In 2008 authorities found her and the children living in London.

Clark was recently extradited to the U.S. and appeared in federal court last week where a magistrate judge ordered she be released to a halfway house.

The prosecution argued she was a flight risk and appealed the decision.

But the court has now ruled the prosecution didn’t provide enough of a reason for keeping Clark in jail so she’ll be allowed to stay in a halfway house.
