Sheriff’s deputy dies after collapsing near squad car

DE BACA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A De Baca County Deputy has died after she collapsed near her squad car Tuesday.

New Mexico State Police say Mylessa Denny was taken to the hospital after the incident where she was pronounced dead.

According to officials she had just ended her shift when she collapsed.

At this time officers are conducting an investigation.

Officials say they do not suspect foul play.
