Santa Fe Plaza closed to drivers until September

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe’s plaza is closed to drivers this week so the city can make it more pedestrian friendly.

On Monday, the city shut the east side of Old Santa Fe Trail and the west side of Lincoln Avenue.

The streets will reopen after fiesta weekend in September.

The city has also ordered more tables and chairs for the plaza.

West San Francisco remains open to thru traffic.

The Old Santa Fe Trail will be open for deliveries and public safety vehicles only. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
