SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe wants to add a hundred more cameras to its video surveillance program.
A new proposal would add cameras and recording equipment at four additional locations, including the convention center downtown.
The cameras help police track down criminals through out the city.
Last year the city council approved a quarter of a million dollar contract with Chavez security to install 38 cameras around town.
But a series of technical issues led the city to delay and in some cases stop installation.
The city’s finance committee is expected to review the plans on July 28th.
