Man arrested after barricading self in vehicle

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police responded to reports of an aggravated assault in northwest Albuquerque Monday after they say a repo man got into an altercation with a man.

The incident happened near Fourth Street and Griegos.

According to police, the repo man was attempting to repossess a camping trailer when the suspect, who had a knife, barricaded himself in the vehicle.

Police say the man, John Montano was later taken into custody without incident.

Montano will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
