Local churches to host prayer for immigrants

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Some churches are urging President Barack Obama to expedite administrative relief for immigrant families and not deport them.

The Archdiocese of Santa Fe has been trying to help with the crisis by providing resources. The church is sending donated money to buy supplies to temporarily house immigrants at the Las Cruces Diocese.

It is also sending bilingual case managers.

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will host a prayer for immigrants.
