KAFB to auction off aircraft parts.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Need an aircraft engine or some other part?

Kirtland Air Force Base is selling thousands of pounds of aircraft parts.

They say they’re looking to get rid of wrecked plane and helicopter pieces that the base can no longer use.

Officials say rather than junk them they want them to be able to be reused.

The sale opens up this Friday.

The starting bid for some of the parts is $25.
