Former Lobo steals the show for Bulls

Alex Kirk

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There are six former Lobos competing in the 2014 NBA summer league. One has so far stolen the show for the Chicago Bulls. Second-year man Tony Snell was on fire in his first game for the Bulls scoring a game-high 27 points in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. Snell knocked down 5 (5-7) three’s in the win, meanwhile his former UNM and now turned NBA teammate Cameron Bairstow tallied 8 points and 6 rebounds in his debut for Chicago.

Kendall Williams didn’t attempt a FG in his first game Saturday night, however on Sunday versus Denver, Williams scored his first points as a bull knocking down his own three pointer. Snell finished the game versus Denver with 23 points bringing his total to 50 through two games.

As for Alex Kirk, Kirk scored 6 points and tallied 2 rebounds in under 15 minutes of work for Cleveland in their 82-70 win over San Antonio on Sunday. Kirk and the Cavs will play former UNM teammate Drew Gordon and Philadelphia on Monday in sin city. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
