ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There are six former Lobos competing in the 2014 NBA summer league. One has so far stolen the show for the Chicago Bulls. Second-year man Tony Snell was on fire in his first game for the Bulls scoring a game-high 27 points in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. Snell knocked down 5 (5-7) three’s in the win, meanwhile his former UNM and now turned NBA teammate Cameron Bairstow tallied 8 points and 6 rebounds in his debut for Chicago.
Kendall Williams didn’t attempt a FG in his first game Saturday night, however on Sunday versus Denver, Williams scored his first points as a bull knocking down his own three pointer. Snell finished the game versus Denver with 23 points bringing his total to 50 through two games.
As for Alex Kirk, Kirk scored 6 points and tallied 2 rebounds in under 15 minutes of work for Cleveland in their 82-70 win over San Antonio on Sunday. Kirk and the Cavs will play former UNM teammate Drew Gordon and Philadelphia on Monday in sin city.
