FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Prosecutors have ruled a deadly police shooting in Farmington justified.
John Marszalek, 26, was shot by a U.S. deputy marshal back in March. Video shows Marsalek leading officers on two high speed chases after side swiping a pick up.
Officer’ say Marszalek couldn’t be restrained even after being tased. He then sliced his own throat in the middle of a busy intersection.
Investigators say Marszalek had drugs in his system.
He died from a combination self-inflicted stab wounds and gunshots from police.
