WIPP working on plan to get samples

CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – WIPP is still trying to figure out just how to get video, pictures and samples they need from it’s underground facility to pinpoint the cause of February’s radiation leak.

First they came up with a 90-foot boom to lower inside to take pictures and samples, but they couldn’t get everything they needed.

Now, they have come up with an idea link scaffolding, that they hope will allow them to move from wall to wall to get the necessary pictures and samples.
