SANTA FE (KRQE) – It looks like there is another big snake roaming around Santa Fe.
The Santa Fe Animal Shelter says someone went in to see if the 7-foot Burmese python found in a woman’s truck Thursday was their missing snake but it wasn’t.
Turns out, he’s looking for his pet, a red boa constrictor that went missing off airport road.
So for now the python remains unclaimed.
The slithery discovery was made after a good samaritan stopped on a Santa Fe street to help a woman with her pickup.
When he popped the hood to take a look he found the snake staring back at him.
Animal Control suspects it escaped from one of the truck owner’s neighbors.
