Restrictions lifted for Santa Fe Forest, Valles Caldera

SANTA FE (KRQE) – The recent rain on the Santa Fe National Forest and Valles Caldera National Preserve has helped to reduce the fire danger there. Fire restrictions were lifted.

People are still asked to be cautious.

Firefighters continue to respond to smoke reports from lightning strikes throughout the forest.
