A recent report says 19-percent of New Mexicans still uninsured despite Affordable Care Act.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It appears the Affordable Care Act didn’t work as well in New Mexico as in other states.

According to a new report released Wednesday by wallethub.com, New Mexico is among the top five states with uninsured Americans.

Right now 19 percent of New Mexicans are still without health insurance.

According to the report, New Mexico did reduce its uninsured rate by 4.5 percent since the affordable healthcare act was implemented.

Five of the 50 states have not yet reported their rates.
