PNM awards half million dollars to nonprofits

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – PNM announced the company will award a number of grants to support community projects.

Half a million dollars will be given to New Mexico nonprofits that support community development and things like creating meaningful public spaces, revitalizing neighborhoods, street and median improvements and green space creation.

“We awarded 24 grants to nonprofits around New Mexico totaling a half million dollars for these nonprofits to create community spaces, to build gardens, to do public artwork, to create places for New Mexicans to gather,” said Diane Harrison Ogawa of PNM Resources Foundation.

Some of the recipients are the Animal Humane Association, East Central Ministries and the Belen MainStreet Partnership.
