Clovis man killed in home, police investigate

CLOVIS – Clovis police are investigating a homicide after the property manager of a home went to check on a resident for unpaid rent and spotted someone’s legs near a bathroom.

Police arrived to the home 413 N. Sheldon Street after the property manager found 33-year-old Jose Barrera and called 911.

They’re calling the death suspicious because of the amount of blood around the body and because Barrera was not a tenant.

OMI will determine the cause of death.

Police are currently looking for two people of interest in the case – 42-year-old Frank Campos and 37-year-old Lorenzo Medina.
