Pedestrian killed while trying to cross I-40

I-40 pedestrian fatal
Police say a man was hit multiple times by vehicles and killed as he tried to cross a section of I-40 Saturday.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – APD is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on I-40 westbound early Saturday morning.

Police say a person was trying to cross the freeway when they were hit.

Right now police don’t know why they were walking on the freeway, or if alcohol was a factor.

The highway was shut down from Carlisle to Second Street until about 5:45 a.m.
