3 NM kids bring home top rodeo honors


ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Three New Mexico kids are now national rodeo champs.

The competition for middle school kids just wrapped up in Iowa.

Lyndsey Orris of Bosque, won for goat tying.

Peyton Mckinley from Las Cruces and Ryder King from Bent tied in the ribbon roping contest.

They were up against participants from 47 states.

The teens win various prizes including money for college.
