Couple who inspired ‘The Vow’ to appear on Oprah show

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A New Mexico couple whose touching love story inspired the movie The Vow will be in the headlines once again.

Kim and Krickitt Carpenter will be on the show Oprah: Where Are They Now?

Back in 1993 just 10 weeks after they got married, the Farmington couple was in a car crash that left Krickitt without any memories of her husband.

Despite her amnesia, the two stayed married.

Their story spurred the hit movie The Vow starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams.

The carpenters were interviewed on the Oprah Winfrey show back in 1996.

They say the interview for the where are they now show will air later this summer.

They will update everyone on how their lives have changed since the movie and what’s next for them.
