Corrales Bosque to close due to recent fires

Due to high fire danger the Corrales Bosque will close for the Fourth of July weekend.

CORRALES, N.M. (KRQE) – Severe drought and high fire danger is prompting the closure of the Corrales Bosque.

Officials say the Bosque will close at 8:30 p.m. July 2.

During the closure no visitors are allowed in the Bosque or on the ditch bank closest to the river.

Visitors are allowed to walk west of the “clear ditch.”

According to the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District the Corrales Bosque is set to reopen at 10 a.m. on July 9, 2014.
