Children jump out of back of bus after fight
Two young children jumped out of the back of a bus Tuesday after a fight. They were found hours later in Old Town.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A neighborhood and APS were scrambling to find two students Tuesday.

Trisha Giner says that’s what the school bus driver told her just after noon.

It happened near West Bluff Park just off Coors and I-40.

APS says this bus was dropping off kids from a summer school program at Montezuma Elementary when a 9 and 12-year-old began fighting.

The bus driver stopped and that’s when they took off out the back.

APS says the boys were found about three hours later, in Old Town at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

That’s about three and half miles from the park.

APS says it’ll be up to the bus company if the driver is disciplined. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
