$750K in scholarships awarded to NM students

More NM students will receive scholarship money as one fund gets an increase.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) -There is more money to help New Mexico college students.

The state has awarded $750,000 to New Mexico colleges and universities to be used in the form of scholarships.

The money will be available starting in the fall and the awards will be up to $1,000 per student.

The scholarship program known as New Mexico’s College Savings Plan has been around for several years but this year funding was increased by $250,000.
