Mark's Friday Evening Weather Report.

The big weather story this weekend is simple, it’s the heat. Temperatures will top out in the mid 90s tomorrow in the Albuquerque metro area but will jump up to the high 90s by Sunday.

Temperatures could even hit 100° by Monday before we finally see some relief. Across the southern tear the state 100° will be an easy get in most valley locations. Meanwhile across the north we could see temperatures top out in the mid 90s by Sunday.

Next week will start off very hot. Then we’ll see moisture begin to sneak under high-pressure overhead and that will lead to some storms. The northeast will see most of the action by Tuesday with widespread thunderstorms. We could even grab a few showers here in Albuquerque by Wednesday. Enjoy your weekend!
