CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – Practice makes perfect and that’s the thought behind the next step in investigating February’s radiation leak at WIPP.

Investigators have now built a mock-up of the underground storage area where the leak happened.

They will use it to figure out how to get remote video and scientific measurements of waste containers in the far back of the room where a barrel from Los Alamos lab burst, causing radiation to escape. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
