ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Are you ready for some soccer? In just a few hours Team USA takes on Germany in a game they pretty much have to win if they want to keep playing. The game’s at 10 a.m. on ESPN.

Huge news for the Catholic Church in New Mexico. The Vatican has given the Archdiocese of Santa Fe the green light to open what’s called the “Sainthood Cause” for Sister Blandina Segale. She helped set up schools here when New Mexico was a territory and calmed down mobs and outlaws.

Here’s the latest with the lack of lapel video from APD officer Jeremy Dear, who shot and killed Mary Hawkes earlier this year. Taser, the company that makes the camera, Dear’s camera turned off and on several times that night. The company says the camera was “powered down” before he shot her and powered on after that.

If you love the great outdoors, get out and enjoy the Sandias this weekend. The Sandia and Mountainair Ranger Districts are shutting down starting Monday because it’s too dry and fire danger is too high.
