GPA for Lobo athletes matches all-time high

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Lobos are proving themselves on and off the field.

UNM’s Athletics Department announced Thursday that student athlete’s grades are up.

The average GPA of all UNM Athletes was a 3.2 in the spring semester which tied the school’s all-time high for athletes.

UNM says athletes have even outperformed the undergraduate student body as a whole for six consecutive semesters.

All of UNM’s Women’s teams led the Lobo pack with GPA’s over 3.5.

On top was the women’s golf team and the ski team was out in front for the men.

The department also named three new academic all-Americans bringing their total to seven.
