Chris’ Thursday Afternoon Forecast

DOPPLER

Drier is making a return to New Mexico this afternoon.  This dry air will scour out most of the moisture we had in place for eastern New Mexico over the past few days.   So there’s only a small chance for some afternoon storms around the Northern Mountains and into the Northeast Highlands.   A system will pass to our north on Friday and this will crank up the winds for much of New Mexico also elevating the fire danger.   As we roll into the weekend, temperatures will start heating up even more and an area of high pressure will take control of our weather.
