Anti-abortion group targets Martinez

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The group that forced the nation’s first – but unsuccessful – effort to ban late-term abortions at the municipal level is now targeting Gov. Susana Martinez.

The group says the Republican governor hasn’t done enough to fight abortion, and is courting pro-abortion voters to win re-election.

Last weekend, members of the group confronted Martinez’s political strategist after they took their protest to his neighborhood.

The group marched in front of his house and drove a graphic billboard truck up and down the street.

He says he objects to the group’s “scare tactics,” especially on a day when children were playing outside, including his young son.
