ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The homeless suffering with mentally illness in the Metro area is about to get some help. Bernalillo County has approved a $1.1 million program to provide assistance for as many as 75 inmates after they’ve been released from jail.

Job seekers, there are a couple of places you can look for work today. There’s a job fair at Harrison Middle School in the Gymnasium today at 3912 Isleta Boulevard Northeast. There’s also a career fair at the University of Phoenix campus on 5700 Pasadena Northeast. Dress for success and bring your resume. Both events run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is in Belgium meeting with NATO allies about how to stop fighting in the civil war unfolding in Iraq. Congress is considering U.S. airstrikes but most American politicians say a diplomatic approach is probably best.

Looking to get a new iPhone later this year? There’s word that the new iPhone coming out in September will have a 5.5 inch screen. Patrons will still be able to buy the standard 4.7 inch screen.
