Woman connected to beating death faces judges

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A fourth arrest has been made in connection with the beating death of an Albuquerque man.

Family members discovered the gruesome scene on Shire Street Southwest last month.

Richard Zarate was found badly beaten lying in a pool of blood. Police say he was also robbed.

On Monday, a second woman was arrested – 30-year-old Maxine Casados.

According to a criminal complaint, she drove the group of suspects to Zarate’s home the day of the deadly assault.

Philip Martin, Marcus Hamilton and Samantha Ross are also suspects in the case.
