Rehab experts to discuss Asayii Fire

GALLUP, N.M. (KRQE) – Rehab experts will meet with residents on the Navajo Nation on Tuesday to talk about what can be done to restore burned and charred areas due to the Asayii Fire.

Hundreds of firefighters are still working to completely extinguish the fire.

Evacuations were lifted for those living near Sheep Springs and surrounding areas.

The fire, which has burned more than 14,000 acres, is now 75 percent contained.

It started Friday, June 13, by a man burning weeds.
