BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man believed to be behind several car thefts in the metro area.

Mario Rivera, 32, was taken into custody Monday night after leading deputies on a high speed chase that ended near Unser and I-40.

State Police had been looking for Rivera when they discovered six stolen vehicles on his property four of which had been taken from Albuquerque.

Rivera is charged with aggravated eluding for now for the chase.
