A woman at the center of a Tijeras scrapbook squabble is being allowed back into the senior center that banned her.

TIJERAS, N.M. (KRQE) – The scrap surrounding two elderly women who took scrapbooks from a senior center may finally be over.

The senior center ban has now been lifted.

Earlier this year, Floy Watson and Doris Lark were banned from the Tijeras Senior Center and criminally charged with taking scrapbooks they say they paid for and made.

Charges were dismissed in court but the village still did not allow Watson back into the Tijeras Senior Center.

Village councilors voted Monday to lift the ban.

Councilors also agreed not to re-file charges against Watson.

Lark died in April

Watson says she looks forward to returning to the senior center. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
