Truck hits pedestrian, driver flees scene

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A deadly hit-and-run crash took place in Albuquerque late Sunday.

It happened about 10 p.m. near Carlisle and Indian School.

A woman walking in the median was hit by a truck and a car, and some horrified people saw the whole thing.

Witnesses say the woman flew about 20 feet after a white pickup hit her. They say that truck took off and another car hit her.

“I ran to the middle of the road. There were three, was about three or four other people that stopped also and checked and tried to see if there was anything we could do to help, but it was already too late and there was no way she was gonna make it,” said witness Jshnai chavez.

Those who may have seen the white pickup or a portion of the license plate are asked to call 242-COPS.
