ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A program aimed at getting high school students to become influential leaders when they graduate is giving students $25,000 in scholarships.

The New Mexico Leadership Institute will present 29 high school graduates with the awards this month.

The students participated in a program that had them spend the past year participating in community service programs and assignments that challenged them personally. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
