Storms will continue across the east today, with a few popping up in central locations. Some moisture across the east will start to seep into central locations, including the Rio Grande Valley. While coverage will not be as good as out east, a few spot storms will be likely during the afternoon and early evening. Meanwhile, the threat for severe thunderstorms will be mainly across the east this afternoon. Expect a similar setup for Tuesday.
Starting Wednesday, a ridge of high pressure will start to slide into the state. This will diminish storm chances during the latter half of the week. Temperatures will also start to heat back up. Albuquerque will be back to the mid 90s by mid-week, while the south and east warms to the upper 90s. This ridge looks to keep us hot and dry through at least the weekend.
