ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Saturday was the longest day of the year for craft beer.

That was the tag line for the beer premier at Albuquerque’s Railyards.

Hundreds of people tasted the beer at The Yards Craft Beer Premier which started at 4 p.m. and ended around 10 p.m.

Twenty breweries from around the state were featured.

Organizers say the decision to set up at the Railyards was easy because of the rich history and beauty. Beer vendors agreed.

“Business is great. This is a fantastic venue, never been here before. It’s a fantastic, open space and we love it,” said Nico Ortiz of Turtle Mining Brewing Company.

The event also featured live music and plenty of food trucks. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
