Chris’ Saturday Evening Forecast

Summer officially began at 4:51 am on Saturday morning and it sure did feel like summer when you stepped out the door. Albuquerque topped out in the mid 90s and similar high temps are on the way for the next few days.

While Albuquerque stayed dry, areas in eastern New Mexico did have strong to even severe storms rumble through.  Places like Santa Rosa, had a severe storm dump heavy rain and even hail on Saturday afternoon.   Eastern New Mexico will continue to be favored for most of the thunderstorm activity for Sunday and into the beginning of the week. There’s only a small chance for a storm to pop-up in Albuquerque. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
