Today was a story of the haves and have-nots as far as rain goes. The haves were mainly over the Sacramento Mountains where we saw most of our heavy rain. Just outside Ruidoso they picked over picked up over an inch of rain.
Meanwhile most other areas of the state didn’t see any rain at all. Through the weekend most showers will be along the eastern third of New Mexico where the moisture is at its deepest. Here in the metro we could see a spot storm but more than anything else I’d look for warm temps and partly cloudy skies.
Next week does look a little more promising for more widespread storms. Moisture will start to migrate from extreme eastern New Mexico slowly into central sections. We will keep you posted as we get closer. Have a great weekend.
