Homeless woman killed in hit and run remembered

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The hit and run driver who killed a homeless woman known as the Bible Lady June 9th, still has not been caught.

But she was remembered Friday night at a memorial service that drew a lot of people to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission.

Earlier this month, she and others were sleeping near 2nd and Iron when witnesses say the driver of a truck aimed right for them, ran over the group, then took off.

Nancy Myers was outside the mission at three in the morning when a pickup appeared to intentionally swerve into a group of homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk.

Police think the truck is a green Ford ranger with the license plate that had g-j or g-z with an unknown 3rd letter then the numbers 2-7-8.
