VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Valencia County mother and her boyfriend have been indicted by a grand jury in connection to the rape of her little girl.

Julio Iturralde, 27, is accused of assaulting the 8-month-old girl after locking the baby’s mother out of a motel room in Los Lunas.

He’s charged with rape, intentional child abuse conspiracy and tampering with evidence.

The young girl’s mother, 25-year-old Jazmin Davis, is charged with child abuse, conspiracy and tampering with evidence, for allegedly trying to cover up the crime, and not taking the girl to the hospital immediately.

The little girl was so badly hurt she needs reconstructive surgery on her organs.
