NMSP IDs suspect in stolen vehicle investigation

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The suspect in the theft of multiple vehicles has been identified.

New Mexico State Police said 31-year-old Mario Rivera is the suspect responsible for the theft of several vehicles including a 1946 Ford pick-up that was stolen from a traveler at an Albuquerque hotel.

Rivera has been charged with six counts of receiving or transferring stolen motor vehicles.

NMSP says anyone with information about Rivera is asked to contact the NMSP Albuquerque office at (505) 841-9256.
