John’s Thursday Afternoon Forecast

Winds come down today, but drier air works into the state. There could be a few storms across the east, but even there coverage looks pretty limited. The east will see better coverage Friday and more so over the weekend as moisture works back in from the south. Some of that moisture could spill into central sections during the day on Saturday. Otherwise, central and western New Mexico look mainly dry through the weekend.

Temperatures will be heating up over the weekend as well. Expect highs in the Albuquerque metro to reach the low to mid 90s through Saturday and Sunday. Highs across the south will reach the upper 90s to near 100°. It appears another surge of moisture early next week will lead to better storm chances. It will also pull temperatures back down for the work week.
