ABQ police arrest Ohio man for child porn

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Ohio man is behind bars in Albuquerque after a repo company found graphic photos and DVDs of young kids in his car.

What the suspect had to say during his arrest was more disturbing.

Gary Michael Seman, 68, has been charged with at least one sex crime in Ohio dating back to the late ’80s. Now he’s facing a charge here.

Police say he is in Albuquerque because he’s looking to move here and when the repo company went through his personal property, they found 12 photos of naked girls as young as 7 years old and two DVDs of child pornography.

Seman is charged with sexual exploitation of children.
He was staying at the InTown Suites when his car was repoed. After getting a call from the repo company, detectives went to speak with Seman. He admitted to police the photos and DVDs were his.

Seman told detectives he had downloaded the photos from the Internet and printed them out and ordered the DVDs years ago. He also told police he knew it was illegal to have them.

“Just shows to our community that this is something we’re not going to stand for,” said officer Daren DeAguero. “We’re not going to stand for any type of child exploitation and we’re going to work as hard as we can and as diligent as we can to capture these people like this.”

Police are still investigating to find out who the girls in the pictures and DVDs are. They’re asking any possible victims of Seman to come forward.

Seman did plead guilty to two felonies in the Ohio case. KRQE News 13 has not been able to find out the specifics of the case.
