Silver City seeks donations for fireworks show

SILVER CITY, N.M. (KRQE) – It may take donations to save the annual Fourth of July fireworks display in Silver City.

According to the Silver City Sun News the cost to ship the fireworks has more than doubled since last year.

So the Chamber of Commerce is trying to raise money.

Community members and businesses have stepped in and donated but they still need $350 for the fireworks show to go on.

If the money is raised the fireworks will still be shot from their usual location behind the Grant County Administration Building.
