Rural NM towns to get school, road, police funding

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Rural New Mexico towns will get millions to help pay for schools, roads and law enforcement.

The money is coming from a federal program that helps rural communities pay firefighters and police officers and helps with the construction of public schools and roads.

New Mexico is getting $37.7 million.

It’s not known yet which towns will split the money.
