Governor’s ex-campaign manager expected to change plea

Jamie Estrada, hacking, plea

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The former campaign manager for Gov. Susana Martinez may never see day one of his trial for allegedly hacking the campaign email after Martinez became governor in 2011.

He’s expected to change his plea Monday.

Last November, Jamie Estrada pleaded not guilty to charges of hacking the email and making false statements to federal investigators.

Estrada served as Martinez’s campaign manager in 2009 before she fired him. The change in plea comes just weeks before his scheduled trial on July 15. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
