New Orleans tops Topes

Isotopes catcher released from team for fight

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Isotopes bid to start a winning streak fell flat Saturday.

A day after winning the series opener, the Isotopes dropped game two to the visiting New Orleans Zephyrs 8-1.

Justin Bour and Kyle Jensen had home runs for New Orleans in a six-run third inning. The Isotopes lone run came in the bottom half of that frame on a Joc Pederson solo homer.

Isotopes starter Zach Lee took the loss (5-7). The win went to Brad Hand (1-0). provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
