Police search for ABQ bank robber

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The FBI and Albuquerque police are looking for a man who held up a bank Friday morning.

It happened just after 9 a.m. at the BBVA Compass Bank at San Pedro and Lomas.

Authorities say the suspect walked in wearing a black and white bandana over his face, a black hoodie and jeans. He then showed the teller a handgun and demanded cash.

Once he got the money, the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a six foot tall black man in his 20’s or 30’s, who has a medium build.

The FBI is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.
