BCSO hosts block party to benefit wounded deputy

Deputy Robin Hopkins

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A block party will be held this weekend to raise money to help a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputy wounded in the line of duty.

Back in October Deputy Robin Hopkins was shot in the leg by a man who went on a shooting spree through the north valley.

Hopkins is still recovering and hasn’t been able to work since the shooting.

The Vista Grande church will host a block party benefit to help Hopkins.

It’s Saturday at Roosevelt Middle School from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

There will be a climbing wall, a bicycle safety course, a silent auction and other events.
